Taking a hiatus while pinetarpress gets his roll on. If he gets tired and quits I'll get back on. Peace.

Coleman -- 3 IP, 2H, ER, BB, 2K
Bueno 2IP, 2H
O'Sullivan -- W(2-1), 2 IP, H, 2BB

Dyson drove in Falu with a triple in the bottom of the 16th to give the Chasers the thrilling victory last night. The Royals bullpen pitched 11 1/3 innings and only gave up 2 runs. Smith was knocked around
a bit and relieved after a home run in the 5th. Gio got his first jack of the year in the second. D-Rob is swinging the bat pretty well right now, but he's still only hitting singles. Omaha is 5-1

On Deck -- GM 3 of 4 is tonight against RR with M. Perez (1-1-1.50) against I'm assuming Mr. Mazarro (0-0-0) for OMA

NW Arkansas 2 -- San Antonio 10

Navarro 2B-- 0-5 Nada
Colon SS -- 1-5
Myers RF -- 1-4 2B(1), BB, 2K
Whittleman DH -- 1-5 2B(4), 2K
Evans RF -- 1-3 R, 2B(3), BB, 2K
Prades CF -- 2-4 R, 2B(2), RBI (1), SB(2)
Schoop 1B -- 2-4, K
Mertins 3B -- 0-3 RBI (1), K
Theriot C -- 1-3 K

4-11 RISP  11 LOB

Dwyer -- L (0-1) 2 2/3 IP, 4H, 5ER, 4 BB, K, 2 HRA  Yikes! time to worry?
Paukovits -- 2 1/3 IP, 3H, 2ER, 2K, HRA
Volz -- 2 IP, 3K  0 ERA on season with good K numbers
Lafferty -- IP, 2H, 3 ER, BB, K, HRA

4 San Antonio homers and a lack of situational hitting did the Nats in on Tuesday. Dwyer got hit hard and hit early and Paukovits didn't fare much better in relief. Yem Prades was a bright spot for NW and I think it might be soon we see him take the leadoff spot from Rey Navarro who's struggling a bit. Colon and Myers continue to drive to the stadium... NW Ark is 2-4.

On Deck -- Off day on Wednesday

Wilmington 3 -- Carolina 2

Merrifield CF -- 1-2 R, 2B(1), BB, 2 SB(2)
Franco SS -- 0-3 Nada
Cuthbert 3B -- 0-3 BB, K
Fletcher 1B -- 1-4 2B(1), RBI(1), K
Hernandez LF -- 0-4 K
Beltre RF -- 1-3 2R, 2B(1), BB
Kuebler DH -- 2-3
Jones C -- 0-2 BB
Piterson 2B -- 1-3 2 RBI(2), CS(1)

2-10 RISP  6 LOB

Marimon -- WP (1-0) 5 2/3 IP, 3H, 1ER, BB, 3K, HRA  Nice Start
Runion -- H(1) 1/3 IP, K
L. Perez -- S(1) 3 IP. 3H, ER, 4K

Luis Piterson was inserted into the lineup minutes before Tuesday's game and responded with 2 RBI in a tidy 3-2 victory. Sugar Ray Marimon had a great start, and Leondy had a 3 inning save in a nice bounce back from Mondays shutout. Finally some extra base hits for the boys, now just need to get Fletch and Cuttty going. Brett Eibner should be appearing sometime soon as well. WIL is 2-3.

On Deck -- Rubber match Wednesday night with Tyler Sample (0-1-5.79) vs Clayton Cook (1-0-1.8)

Kane County 8 -- Beloit 3

Llanos CF -- 0-4 2K  Still like him but he's supposed to play well when I endorse him...
Mateo 3B -- 3-4 3R, 2B(1), RBI(3)
Antonio SS -- 0-2 R, 2BB
Bonifacio RF -- 2-4 R, RBI(2)  Hitting .471
Adams DH -- 2-2 2R, 2B(3), 4 RBI(8), BB, SB(1)
Trapp 2B --  2-4 2B(1), 2 RBI(5), K
Moreno 1B -- 0-4, 2K
Ferguson LF -- 0-3 BB, K

Dooley -- 2IP, H, ER, 2BB, 2K
Grafeo -- 2IP, H, 2ER, 2BB, K, HRA

A 3 double-5 run fifth sealed the win for Kane County Tuesday as Aaron Brooks bounced back very nicely and Lane Adams had 4 RBI. Danny Mateo added 3 hits and Jorge Bonifacio continued his torrid April with 2 more hits. Kane County is now 3-2.

On Deck -- Gm 2 of the series is going on right now (11 AM) with JAson Mitchell for KC and Madison Boer for the Snappers.

Monday 4-9-12 Recap

Omaha 6 -- Round Rock 3

Dyson CF -- 0-4 Nada
D-Rob LF -- 1-4 K
Giovatella 2B -- 0-4 Nada
C-Rob 1B -- 1-4 R, 2B(4), K
Ramirez DH -- 1-3 R, HR(2), RBI(8), K  Kid can hit... Not catching though...
Lough RF -- 1-3 R, 3B(2), RBI(3)
Abreu SS -- 1-3, R, RBI(7)  .524 AVG. Kinda fun
Clark C -- 1-2 R, BB
Seratelli 3B -- 2-3 R, HR(1), 3 RBI(3)

3-5 RISP  1 LOB   Wow...

Montgomery -- 4 1/3 IP, 7H, 2R/2ER, 3BB, 3K  hmm...
Hollingsworth -- W (1-0), 3 IP, 3H, 1R/1ER, 2K, HRA
Bueno -- S(1), 1 2/3 IP, 2K  Nice to have depth

Seratelli made his 3-A debut well worthwhile with a 3-run game-deciding jack in the 6th. Montgomery was annoyingly not a factor yet again as he gave/reluctantly handed the ball over to Hollingsworth down 2-0. Back to back 3 run innings (5th and 6th) won it for Omaha and the lack of O'Sullivan being anywhere near the action obviously aided. Tony Abreu = 1.429 OPS... Small sample sizes are awesome. Omaha is 4-1.

On Deck -- GM 2 vs Round Rock -- I'm assuming Hamburger (RR) 0-0-5.4 v. Smith (OMA) 0-0-3.00

San Antonio 4 -- NW Arkansas 3

Navarro 2B -- 2-4, R, BB, SB(1)
Colon SS -- 4-4 RBI(1), SB(1)  All Singles but signs of life...
Myers CF -- 1-5 2K  BTB gms in Center
Whittleman -- 2-5 2 2B(3), K
Evans RF -- 0-5 2K
Schoop 2B -- 1-4 R, K
Testa LF -- 1-4 R, K
Mertins 3B -- 0-3 K
Jenkins C - 1-4 RBI(1), K   As many RBI as Colon on season

2-13 RISP 11 LOB  Yikes

Melville -- 5IP, 3H, BB, 6K  Looked great but 80 pitches
Pimental -- 2/3 IP, 3H, 2R/2ER  40.50 ERA....
Hardy -- BS(1), 1 2/3 IP, 2H, 1R/1ER, BB, 3K
Mariot -- L(0-1), 2/3 IP, H, 1R/1ER, K, HRA

Couldn't ask for a worse bullpen performance/clutch hitting performance as 3 Nats closers and a 2-13 RISP did NW ARK in. Melville looked great and the Nats had a 3-0 lead going into the bottom of the 6th when the wheels fell off. Elisaul looks lost. Bright spot -- Colon had a great day and signs of more to come hopefully. NW Ark is 2-3.

On Deck -- Gm 2 against San Antonio -- Rubber game in 2-gm series, Dwyer (0-1-2.08) v. Oramus (0-1-54)

Carolina 6 -- Wilmington 0

Merrifield CF -- 0-4 2K
McClure SS -- 1-4 2K
Cuthbert 3B -- 0-3 BB, K, 2 E (Both throwing)
Fletcher 1B -- 1-4 3K
Hernandez LF -- 0-3 K
Beltre RF -- 0-2 K
David C -- 0-3 Nada
Kuebler 1B -- 1-3 K
Franco 2B -- 0-3 K

0-1 RISP  1 LOB   Yep.....

Billo -- L (0-1) 5IP, 7H, 4R/3ER, 5K, HRA
White -- 1 1/3 IP, 3H, 2R/3ER, 3BB, K  yeah 6 baserunners, 4 outs
Keck -- IP, K

3rd yr Carolina LHP T.J. House dominated the Nats for 7 striking out 9 and combing with a reliever for the shutout. Billo got hit early and Wilmington continued not hitting, dropping them to 1-3 on the year. Wilmington has scored only 1 ER all season and only one hit has gone for extra bases.

On Deck -- Sugar Ray Marimon in his first start against CAR RHP Salazar in gm 2 of series

Beloit 9 -- Kane County 7

Llanos CF -- 3-5 2R, 2 2B(2), 2 RBI(3), K, 2E (3, both fielding)
Mateo 2B -- 2-5, RBI(2)
Antonio 3B -- 2-4 RBI(3), BB
Bonifacio RF -- 2-2 2B(1), 3BB
Adams LF -- 0-4 BB, 2K
Calixte SS -- 1-5 R, K, E(5, yes that's right 5)
Trapp 3B -- 1-4 2R, 3B(2), BB
Moreno C -- 0-5 RBI(1), K
Shin DH -- 2-5 2R, 2B(1), RBI(1), 3K

5-15 RISP  11 LOB

Pounders -- 3 2/3 IP, 3H, 1R/1ER, 4BB, 6K  0 Flyballs, 4 walks... odd game
Garrido -- 2 IP, H, 1R/1ER, 4BB, K, 2WP
Stueve-- L (0-1), IP, 6H, 5R/5ER, BB, HRA
Cantrell -- 2 1/3 IP, 3H, 2R/2ER, 2K, HRA, WP

Twins top prospect Miguel Sano destroyed the Cougers with 2 homers and erased an oddly effective start from Brooks Pounders. Beloit never really made good contact and Pounders never really found the strike zone. Both staffs were terrible walking 15 batters all day. Bias time -- I really like Alex Llanos tool set and think maybe he can finally progress a bit. Only 21 and only played baseball a cpl yrs before Royals got him. I'm done.

On Deck --  gm 2 against Beloit but no starters announced. Recap all tomorrow.

Sunday 4-8-12

Omaha 17 -- Albuquerque 11

Dyson CF -- 4-6 2R, 2B, RBI(1), K
D-Rob LF -- 2-5 2R, 2K, HBP
Giovatella 2B -- 3-4 4R, 2B(1), RBI(2), 2BB
C-Rob 1B -- 1-6 R, 2 RBI(2), 2 K, SB
Kouzmanoff 3B -- 3-6 2 R, 2B (4), 2 RBI(6)
Lough RF -- 3-5 2R, 3B (1), RBI(2), BB, E(1)
Abreu SS -- 3-6 2R, 3B(2), 3 RBI(6), 2K
Ramirez C -- 2-4 2R, GS(1), 4 RBI(7), BB
Romak DH -- 1-4 RBI(1), HBP

12-23 RISP  11 LOB

Verdugo -- 3 IP, 3H, 3R/3ER, 3 BB, 3 K, 2 HRA
O'Sullivan -- W(1-1), 2 IP, 5H, 4R/3ER, BB, 2K    ERA is @ 27
Sisk -- 2IP, 6H, 3R/3ER, K, HRA
Hottovy -- IP, 2H, 1R/1ER, HRA
Jeffress -- IP Nada

Omaha had a 14-1 lead after the 3rd and never looked back in Sunday's AVG/ERA-inflating series win. Ryan Verdugo looked fine through 3 before BTB homers to lead off the 4th brought in O'Sullivan. I think he may just be mad at the organization and will continue to throw batting practice until we release him. Teams swapped runs the rest of the game. Ramirez hit a GS and the top of the lineup continues to impress/produce. Been very happy with Kouzmanoff's production after missing most of ST. Omaha is 3-1

On Deck -- Monday vs Round Rock for 3 -- Jackson (RR) vs TBD (OMA)

NW Arkansas 3 -- San Antonio 0

Navarro 2B-- 0-3 R, HBP
Colon SS -- 0-3 Nada .111 avg
Myers CF -- 1-4 R, 2K
Whittleman 1B -- 1-4 R, HR(1), 2RBI (2),
Evans RF -- 1-4 2B(1), K
Schoop 3B -- 1-3 2B(1), BB
Testa LF -- 1-4 2B(1), K
Mertins DH -- 1-4
Jenkins C -- 1-3

3-10 RISP  5 LOB

Marks -- 4 IP, 2H, 0R, 3 BB, 5 K
Baumann -- W(1-0), 3 IP, H, BB, 5 K
Keating -- (S, 2) 2IP, H, BB

A 3-run 1st and strong pitching from NW Ark was the story Sunday earning the Nats an series opening split in SA. Whittleman hit his first HR of the season driving in Myers, who singled after Navarro led off the game getting hit and then bunted over to 3rd by Colon. The Nats had chances again in the 2nd and 4th but bad base running quelled more runs. Justin Marks looked great, and though his stuff was a bit wild got guys to chase with it. Baumann threw incredibly well and Keating closed the door again. Gm 2 is tonight at 7 with Melville getting the call for the Nats and Erwin for SA. NW is 2-2.

Wilmington 3 -- Myrtle Beach 2

Merrifield CF -- 2-4 2RBI(2)
McClure SS -- 0-4 K
Cuthbert 3B -- 0-4 Nada
Fletcher LF -- 1-4 K
Beltre RF -- 1-4 R
Kuebler 1B -- 0-4 K
Swab C -- 0-3 K
Franco DH -- 1-3 R
Piterson 2B -- 1-3 R, K

1-4 RISP  3 LOB

Ventura -- 3 2/3 IP, 3H, 1R/1ER, 3BB, K
Dennick -- W(1-0), 4 1/3IP, 2H, 1R/1ER, BB, 3K
Rogers -- S(1), IP, K

Wilmington took advantage of some shaky defense in the 5th and Whit Merrifield had a 2 run single to get the BlueRocks first win. Ventura looked great early on the control problems hit hard. Ryan Dennick saved the day with 4 1/3 strong innings to get his first win. The Rocks are now on to visit Carolina for a 3 game set starting Monday. Greg Billo gets the start against LHP T.J. House. WIL is 1-2.

Kane County -- Day off Sunday

KC opens up a three game stand at home against Beloit and the website doesn't say who's starting. KC is 2-1 on the season.

Sunday, April 8, 2012

Sat 4-7-12

Omaha 5 -- Isotopes 0

Dyson CF -- 1-4 R
D-Rob LF -- 2-4 2R, 2K
Gio 2B -- 2-3 R, BB, K
C-Rob 1B -- 1-3 2B, BB, K, E
Ramirez C -- 0-3 RBI(3), BB, K
Lough RF -- 0-4 R, K
Abreu SS -- 3-4 2B, K, RBI(3), E(2)
Clark C -- RBI(1), K
Falu 0-3 K

2-9 RISP  6 LOB

Adcock -- W (1-0) 5 1/3 IP, 2H, 0R, 2BB, 5K Solid start, 78 pitches
Bueno -- 1 2/3 IP Nada, 4K
Coleman -- 2 IP, H, BB, K

The Chasers jumped on the Topes early Saturday scoring all 5 runs before the 2nd inning was completed... then nothing. Luckily the Royals bullpen (Bueno Coleman) was just as good, finishing off Adcock's shutout. Tony Abreu is still swinging a hot stick with a 3 hit day and a RBI. Coleman is burying that 2-seamer and a new sinker/split (it looks like) and its forcing a ton of ground balls. Up by May 1st?
Omaha is 2-1 on the season.

On Deck --Final game of the series. Ryan Verdugo vs Fernando Nieve

Corpus Christi 7 -- NW Arkansas 2

Navarro 2B -- 0-4 RBI(1)
Colon SS -- 1-5 K
Myers RF -- 2-4 HR(2), RBI(2), K
Lisson 1B -- 0-1 2BB
Schoop 3B -- 0-4 K, E
Prades CF -- 1-4 2B
Testa LF - 1-3 R, BB
Mertins DH -- 1-3 BB
Theriot C -- 0-3 2K, E

0-9 RISP 9 LOB

Arguelles -- L (0-1) 3 1/3 IP, 7H, 5R/3ER, 2BB/0K Disappointing start from Noel. Still can't strike guys out
Volz -- 2 2/3 IP, H, 2K
Lafferty -- 1 IP, 3 H, 2R/ER, 2K
Mariot -- 1 IP, 2BB, 2K

The fourth inning proved vital for the Nats tonight as the Stopes scored quick and the Nats couldn't have been anyone. Myers homered again (2 in 2 days), yet the offense stayed silent the rest of the night. Expected more than Pimetal... NW Ark is 1-2 on the season.

On Deck -- NW Arkansas @ San Antonio  Justin Marks vs Hayden Beard

Myrtle Beach 2 -- Wilmington 1

Meriifield CF -- 0-4 K
McClure SS -- 0-4 R, 3K
Cuthbert 3B -- 1-3 BB, K
Fletcher 1B -- 1-3 BB
Hernandez LF -- 1-4 RBI, K, PO and IBB
Bueltre 1B -- 0-3, K
David C -- 0-3
Swab 3B -- 0-3 2K
Franco -- 0-3

1-4 RISP 4 LOB
Adam -- 5 IP, 4H, 1ER, 2 BB, 4K
Boruff -- 2 IP, 3H, BB, 4 K
Rogers -- 2 Ip, BB K

Tough loss for Wilmington. Adam pitched well for his first start and Cuthbert looked very comfortable at 3rd and at the plate. Adam got out of his only jam by pitching around hitters, could learn to attack more... Wilmington is 0-2 on the season.

On Deck -- Myrtle Beach for the 3rd game of the season. Ventura vs Tepesch

Kane County7 -- Quad Cities 2

Trapp 2B  -- 3-4 2 R, HR(1), RBI(3), BB, K, SB, E

Calixte SS -- 2-5 R, 3B, RBI (1)
Watts 1B -- 3-4 2 2B, HR(1), RBI (2), K
Shin C -- 0-4 K
Ferguson LF -- 1-4 2K

6-16 RISP   8 LOB

Moen -- 4 1/3 IP, 4H, 3R/1ER, BB, 9K, 2 WP
Ridings -- W (1-0), 1 2/3 IP, H, K
Giovenco -- 2IP, H, BB, K
Graffeo -- IP, BB, K

Kellen Moen gave us an example of how effective his stuff can be with a 9k performance Saturday. Murray Watts and Justin Trapp both homered to give KC the win. KC is 2-1 on the year.

On Deck -- Returning home vs Beloit on Monday. Off day Sunday.

update

 Up to date:

Omaha -- 4-5-12

Omaha 8 Isotopes 4

Dyson CF -- 2-5 2B, SB(1), RS, E(1), Assist at home (1)
D. Robinson LF -- 1-4 RS, SB(1), CS(1), K, S
Gio 2B -- 2-5 RBI(1), RS, K
C. Robinson 1B -- 3-5 3 RS, 2 2B(2)
Kouzmanoff 3B -- 2-4 3 RBI(3), 2 2B(2), E
Lough RF -- 2-4 RS, RBI(1), K, CS(1), 1 HBP
M. Ramirez DH -- 1-4 2 RBI(2), 2K
Abreu SS -- 1-4 RBI(1), E
Clark C -- 1-3 BB, (0-2 CS)

6-17 RISP 10 LOB

Jiggy (W. Smith) -- 3IP, 4 H, 2 R 1 ER, 2 K, 6 BB
Hollingsworth -- 2.2 IP, 3H, 1 ER, 1 K, 2 BB, 2 WP
Jeffress  -- W (1-0), 2 IP, 1 H, I ER, 1 K, 1 BB, 1 HRA
Hottovy -- H (1), 1 IP, 2 K, 1 BB, 1 HBP
Coleman -- S (1), 1/3 IP 1 K (3 pitches)

Every starter had a hit in a nice Opening Day win for the Chasers. Will Smith had trouble throwing strikes and got out of trouble in each inning. The back end of the bullpen looked good with Jeffress, Hottovy, and Coleman combining for 3 1/3 1R ball. Gio and the Crime Dog (C-Robinson) picked up where they left off last year and the order combined for 15 hits in a balanced attack. Most speed I've seen in the 1-2 spots of a lineup...

Mike Parisi had a decent start for the Isotopes but the Chasers really got to the bullpen. Castellanos had a 3B and a couple SB and Scott van Slyke homered off Jeffress in the 8th. Threatened all game but couldn't put an inning together outside of the 2nd.

4-6-12

Isotopes 5, Chasers 2

Dyson CF -- 2-4 RS, SB(2),
D-Rob LF -- 1-4 2K,
Gio -- 0-4 Nada
C-Rob -- 0-2 1 BB, 1 K, 1 HBP
Kouzmanoff DH -- 1-4 2B, RBI(4), K
Lough RF -- 0-4 Nada except Assist at 1B (1)
Abreu SS -- 3-4 3B, HR(1), RBI(1) Double short of cycle
Clark C -- 0-3 Nada except a PB(1)
Falu 3B -- 0-3 Nada

1-9 RISP 6 LOB

Mazzaro --  6 IP 5 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 6 K, PO(1)
O'Sulivan -- 1/3 IP, 5 H, 4ER, 2 HRA (Noone claimed him??? Really???)
Sisk -- 1 1/3 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 4K
Colon -- 1 1/3, 1 BB

Great start by Mazzaro, ruined by O'Sullivan. Omaha had a 2-run lead going into the 7th when Mr. O'Sullivan proved to the world why he didn't get claimed. Gave up two jacks, Van Slyke's second and Fedorowicz's first. Sisk showed great stuff and gave up a run on a slight misplay by D-Rob in left. Colon was solid. Abreu was a bright spot in the lineup coming close to a cycle but the Isotope Staff did a great job limiting any damage. Omaha only 2 BB in 2 games...

ON Deck -- Rubber match Adcock v Fife

NW Arkansas -- 4-5-12

Corpus Christi 9 -- NW Ark 0

Navarro 2B -- 1-4, 3B, BB, E
Colon SS -- 0-5 K, 2E (2) Great Start
Myers RF -- 1-3, BB, 2 K
Whittleman 1B -- 0-4 2 K, E
Lisson 3B -- 0-3 K
Prades CF -- 1-4 2 K
Testa LF -- 1-4 K
Evans DH -- 1-2 2B, BB, K
Theriot C -- 1-2 BB K

0-7 RISP 11 LOB

Dwyer -- L (0-1) 4 1/3 IP, 2H, 2R, 1ER, 1BB, 5K, E, Fine start
Pimental -- 2/3 IP, 3H, 4R, 4ER, 1 BB, 1 HBP
Paukovits -- 1 IP, 2H, 3R/0ER, 1BB, 1K
Baumann -- 2IP, 2H, 3K

5 errors and no situational hitting did in the Nats, as Corpus Christi scored 4 unearned runs on 9 total hits.
Dwyer looked like he did last year, great stuff questionable control. Elisaul and Tim got roughed up a bit though Paukovits looked ok just had crappy D behind him. Myers had a couple great at bats and Navarro looked pretty comfortable at the plate, but the was about it for offense.

4-6-12

NW Arkansas 5 -- Corpus Christi 3

Navarro 2B -- 1-5 2B
Colon SS -- 1-5
Myers RF -- 2-5 HR(1), RBI(1), 2 R, K, SB(1), GIDP
Whittleman DH -- 1-4 R, K
Lisson 1B -- 1-3 HR(1), 2 RBI(2), R, BB
Prades CF -- 2-4 R, SB(1)
Evans LF -- 0-3 RBI(1)
Mertins 3B -- 0-4 NAda
Theriot C -- 2-4 RBI(1), K

Odorizzi -- W(1-0) 5IP, 3H, 8K, 0BB, 2 WP
Hardy -- 3IP, 3H, 2R/2ER, 3K, 1 HRA
Keating -- 1 IP, 2H, IER, BB

A great start and timely hitting for NW Ark got the job done Friday as Odorizzi looked pretty dominant, and Myers and Lisson went yard for the Nats first win of the 2012 campaign. Hardy and Keating got hit a little bit in relief but limited damage. CC 1B Kody Hinze homered off Hardy in the 8th for Hardy's only runs allowed. Myers also added a single, steal and run scored in the winning effort.

On Deck -- Rubber Match Arguelles v Ciscero

4-6-12

Myrtle Beach 6 -- Wilmington 0

Merrifield CF -- 0-4 2K
McClure SS -- 2-4 2K
Cuthbert 3B -- 1-2 2B, 2 BB, K
Fletcher 1B -- 0-4 2K
Hernandez LF -- 0-4 Nada
Beltre RF -- 1-4 3K
David C -- 0-3 K
Kuebler DH -- 2-4 2K
Franco 0-4 K E

0-5 RISP 9 LOB

Sample -- 4 2/3 IP, 3H, 3R/3ER, BB, 5K, 2HRA, HBP 2nd rd pick looking very similar to last yr
Melgarejo -- 1 1/3 IP, 5H, 3R/3ER, 2 BB, 1 HRA, Balk
Runion -- 2 IP, 2H, 2K Nice outing from 07 2nd rounder

The Blue Rocks struck out 13 times in a 0 run effort on Friday. Sample pitched adequate, but two of his hits allowed went yard. Melgarejo pitched it out of reach getting lit in his 1st outing of the season. Thomas Tells hit 2 homers and Josh Richmond added one of his own, as 4 Myrtle Beach pitchers aided in the shut out.

On Deck -- Myrtle Beach today @7 Adam v Mendez

I'll update today and Kane County games tonight.

Welcome all!

To start let's get introductions out of the way. My name is Mark and I've been an avid fan of the Royals since I was a little kid. I used to love reading thekclpipeline and while I'm sad that he's calling it quits I'm sure I'll find out soon it's not as easy as it looks and takes some dedication and a good amount of time.

I want this to be a similar site. I'll post updates of all minor league games and brief synopsis (to the best of my ability- box scores might be it at times). I'll also post at Royals Review with a very condensed version.

My goal is to have everything up by 10 am following day but, being a bartender, there will be lots of 3 am posts as well. I'll post a mid-season stat updates, end of yr recap, and my personal end-of-yr system rankings as well.

Starting a bit late, so here's a recap of the last couple days.
